Zuddl raised 14 million dollars to change the data at event planning
Zuddl's platform allows companies to "create" a virtual venue, as they wish, with customizable colors and features such as special hot zones that enable the interface with users, but also the feeling of a natural showroom.
Despite the fact that the general uncertainty as a result of the ongoing negative developments due to the pandemic, has put a “stop” on the big events with physical presence, sooner or later the people will start to gather again in exhibitions and events, like they used to before the pandemic. The iconic CES exhibition is already moving in this direction. However, as the impact of the pandemic will probably accompany humanity for many years to come, virtual events will continue to be the number one choice for many businesses.
Digital events, and even more so, hybrid events, have come to stay. Given this, more and more Startups are putting the development of platforms specifically designed for organizing events at the center of their activities. Recently, the American Zuddl raised 13.3 million dollars in a new Series A funding, aiming to make the organization of events easier and their adaptation to the wishes of the participants simpler. Alpha Wave and Qualcomm Ventures participated in the new funding round, with the support of GrowX Ventures, Waveform Ventures and several “business angels”.
According to the co-founder Bharath Varma, Zuddl’s interest is not limited to large-scale trade fairs. On the contrary, the company gained momentum by undertaking the technical support of the organization of inter-company events and educational programs by large companies such as Microsoft, Kellogg’s and HSBC.
Fortune 1000 companies spend as much money on in-house events as they do on external events, purely because of the scale of the teams that make them up all over the world. But every company and every team may want to do things a little differently. Thus Zuddl was created with flexibility and adaptability.
Zuddl’s platform allows companies to “create” a virtual venue, as they wish, with customizable colors and features such as special hot zones that enable the interface with users, but also the feeling of a natural showroom. At the same time, the features of the platform also place great emphasis on the experience of the participants. Participants in Zuddl virtual events can, among other things, participate in smaller / private roundtable sessions while watching the “main stage”. There is a rich Q & A / voting system, which allows even members of the public to be invited to the “stage” and ask their question.
