“Allianz Prime”, a new mobile payment and loyalty app that replaces customers’ card information with a unique digital token that can be used to process payments without revealing actual account detail, is the result of Allianz’s partnership with Visa. As stated, it’s the “first of its kind” in the insurance industry, worldwide.
The app features built-in security from Visa, while at the same time the payments are made using the unique token. It must be pointed out that in case of a security risk or a customer’s device is lost or stolen, the token can be disabled without the loss of customer data.
Matthias Wünsche, Head of market management and innovation, at Allianz, insists that Allianz Prime provides: “Insured mobile payments off- and online anytime and anywhere!”. Mr. Wünsche underlined “that the new app will be first tested in Italy with a small selection of Allianz customers”.
At the same time users will be able to make purchases at all contactless-enabled devices worldwide. As of the transactions and loyalty program, it is integrated by Allianz’s digital partner, Wirecard.
