Turkish Teklas Automotive: New factory in Serbia

Turkish car parts manufacturer Teklas Automotive opened a factory in Vranje, Serbia.

Teklas plans to employ some 1,500 workers at the plant.The company’s first facility in Serbia was opened in the town of Vladicin Han in 2016, and it hires some 1,000 workers, said the CEO Nebi Anil.

“We hope to have 250 million euro turnover,” Anil said, referring to the combined yearly turnover of both plants.

According to the Teklas website, the firm operates ten plants in Germany, the United States, Mexico, France, Serbia, and Turkey, while in Southeastern Europe, Teklas operates a factory in Bulgaria’s Kardzhali.
