Polygreen: Acquires Vassilakopoulos Recycling active in the collection and management of recyclable materials
Polygreen, a leader in environmental protection, made a significant investment announcing the acquisition of Vassilakopoulos Recycling S.A., a company active in the collection and management of recyclable materials. This acquisition is the first step of Polygreen’s ambitious investment plan for 2022, with the aim of offering its clientele in Greece a complete package of waste management services.
With the acquisition of Vassilakopoulos Recycling S.A., Polygreen upgrades its facilities and strengthens its infrastructure in Greece, adding to its potential a functional and profitable unit that has a privately owned unit in the heart of the industrial area, in Aspropyrgos, Attica, modern equipment and a remarkable fleet of vehicles.
At the same time, it vertically integrates its offered services in the field of recycling, undertaking the collection, sorting, transport and baling of materials, and expands its existing portfolio through the network of the newly acquired company.

Our first concern is to drastically increase the production volumes of the plant, thus increasing its turnover. At the same time, we are vigorously continuing our investment plan for this year, remaining faithful to our commitment to lead the transition from a linear to a circular model of economy, which today is a central political priority at an international level.”, stated Mr. Athanasios Polychronopoulos, President and CEO of Polygreen.
