Challenges and chances for the European Startup Ecosystem

The challenges that the European Startup Environment is facing and at the same time the chances that theyve got for further expansion, will be the main topics that will be discussed at the upcoming “SEP Policy Workshop: European Startup Scene” that will be held at the European Parliament on Monday 4th May 2015.

During the past three years, the global venture capital arena has witnessed a significant uptake of European startups securing impressive deals. While policy support to tech startups is high on the EU and some national policy agendas, the evidence about the phenomenon is scarce. The goal of the Workshop is to address this issue by mapping the most relevant elements related to the main European startup ecosystems and capture a coherent and comprehensive picture based on well-defined methodology and research practices.

Amongst the speakers will be Eva Paunova, Member of the European Parliament Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, Alberto Onetti, Chairman of the Mind the Bridge Foundation & Coordinator of Startup Europe Partnership and Alice Zagury, Founder & CEO of TheFamily.
