Mastercard is holding for the first time the Mastercard Fintech Day, an event that brings together selected fintech companies from the Central and Eastern European region, giving them the opportunity to emerge and earn a place in Mastercard’s global start-up program, Start Path.
Mastercard Fintech Day is implemented with the support of Start Path and aims to implement synergies in the field of financial services. The event will include workshops with fintech experts and graduates of this field, as well as sessions for networking between fintech, Mastercard County Managers and Senior Executives.
13 of the best fintech candidate companies operating in the Central and Eastern Europe region were invited and will participate in the event, which were highlighted through a rigorous selection process.3 come from Greece, 2 from Bulgaria,the Czech Republic and Poland and 1 from Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Romania.
The three fintech companies that will stand out during Mastercard Fintech Day, will be invited to present their proposal to selected banking audiences from Greece and Cyprus in the context of this year’s Athens Innovation Forum of Mastercard. The winning company will be selected through a vote of the Forum’s audience and will automatically qualify for the final round of selection of the Mastercard Start Path.

Mastercard Fintech Day will be held digitally on Monday, September 27, 2021, with access to the event only by invitation.
