Stellantis (Jeep): Invests 99 million dollars in hybrid technology
As part of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, the Dundee plants in Michigan, Kokomo in Indiana and Etobicoke in Toronto will be upgraded
Stellantis announced that it will proceed with the investment of 99 million dollars in three of the group’s production facilities in North America. Specifically, the Dundee plants in Michigan, Kokomo in Indiana and Etobicoke in Toronto, will be upgraded as part of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.
The plan, among other things, foresees that 50% of Jeep’s sales in America will consist of electrified models. Already available is the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe will immediately follow, with this innovative technology expected to be extended to other models of the brand available in the USA and Canada.
