Microsoft presented Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL

Microsoft presented its new low-cost smartphone, Lumia 640, in Barcelona Mobile World Congress.

Lumia 640 has an HD 5-inch screen, 2500 mAh battery, 8 MP camera with Zeiss lens, 3G and LTE capable and carries Windows 8.1. A special edition of Lumia 640 will have 5,7-inch screen, 3000 mAh battery and 13 MP camera.

Both models can be upgraded to Windows 10 and have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (1,2 GHz, with 1GB RAM).

Lumia 640 will also have a dual-SIM option.

During the presentation, Microsoft experts stated that they will develop all platforms for their smartphones and that Insider now has over 2,1 million users, helping Microsoft to enhance its systems.

There will also be a new cooperation with AT&T for a mobile suite for small and medium businesses and a new mobile keyboard for Windows Phones. Microsoft will also aim at messaging.

Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL will be available on April at 139-219 euros. Users will also have free access to Office Apps, 1 TB in OneDrive and 60 mins of monthly free calls via Skype.
