Taiwan Entrepreneurs Fund, an investment fund of about $306 million that will invest in startups in Taiwan was created by Alibaba.
The fund will be managed by professional investment managers and will operate on a non-profit model, where profits generated from investments will be re-invested into portfolio companies.
At the same time, Alibaba will help startups to start and grow businesses on marketplaces and platforms in its ecosystem, enabling them to offer products and services in the Greater China region.
