EcoTree, a digital platform that provides businesses with an all-in-one cloud software solution for waste management, raised 433 million euros.
This new round of fundraising was led by Sparking Capital and SeedBlink, the crowdinvesting platform, which participated in the first round of funding.New business angels, including Cosmin Manea, a founding partner of InstaShop also participated in the round.
EcoTree is the first digital platform in Romania to provide real and measurable benefits to the waste management industry, digitising business processes and legal documentation through business intelligence modules for data analysis and reporting, special bidding modules and more, ensuring full transparency and traceability. In this way, the startup actively contributes to a clean and sustainable environment.
The company was founded in 2017 by Bogdan Andronache, Alexandru Petrescu, Marius Cîrstea and Dan Simota with the aim of digitizing these waste collection and recycling processes, being one of the steady players in the circular economy.
Currently, EcoTree has active contracts with multinational customers from the beverage, food and retail sectors while over 60 users, representatives of waste producers, manage all waste operations directly through the digital platform EcoTree. Finally, it should be noted that more than 40 national waste collection companies, with a permit for all types of waste, are registered on the platform, being fully operational.
