Innovation Ltd, an Australian-based mobile banking technology platform raised $2.8 million in an initial public offering (IPO). Peppermint’s goal is to drive financial inclusion by connecting millions without access to traditional banking using the company’s proprietary mobile banking, payments and remittance technology. Therefore, the company is planning for rapid expansion in the Philippines where it is estimated that up to 75% of the over 100 million population of the country are unbanked.
