Al enters the University of West Attica from Cosmos Business Systems
The company introduces artificial intelligence for the sake of a graduate program so that students can gain experience in deep tech
Cosmos Business Systems has been declared a temporary contractor for the project of the University of West Attica (PADA) concerning the “Development of Infrastructure of the University of West Attica for Research and Innovation in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications (UNIWA AI Innovation Hub)”, with a budget of 500,000 euros, including VAT.
The scope of the project is the creation of appropriate infrastructure, through equipment and applications of Nvidia – represented by Cosmos in Greece and Cyprus – to be used in the framework of the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning (designed by the University of West Attica in collaboration with the Deep Learning Institute of Nvidia).
The array of 2 NVIDIA DGX A100 SERVERS will offer computing power, performance and flexibility reaching up to 10 petaFLOPS. The NVIDIA DGX A100 features the most advanced accelerator in the world, the NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPU, allowing the institution to consolidate training, inference and analysis into a unified and easy-to-install AI infrastructure.
Students will also be given the opportunity to acquire, in addition to their theoretical background and practical experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. It will create professionals capable of designing, developing and applying artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms in various sectors of the economy, including health, industry, education (emotional intelligence and emotional knowledge), engineering (unmanned vehicles) and culture.
Cosmos Business Systems generally implements complex public projects with its know-how and properly trained staff, while it is a key Systems Integrator for NVIDIA, which is a pillar of specialized AI solutions, as well as High Performance Computers (HPC), having installed 9 of the 10 systems in Greece and Cyprus.
