The round of funding was led by MTIP investment company which focuses on healthtech investments while subordinated investors participated as well, such as Big Pi, a greek seed-stage venture capital fund.
Intelligencia is an Artificial Intelligence company which focuses on minimizing the risks that the development of new medicines entails. The Startup was founded in 2017 by Dimitris Skaltsas and Vangelis Vergetis and today, with presence in Athens and New York, it collaborates with large and small biopharmaceutical companies around the globe, top research institutions as well as investors of this particular field.
Aiming to increase productivity in the “field” of R&D, the company offers tools that facilitate decision making and enable its customers to reduce the risks and increase productivity flow.Among others, its platform offers customers the chance to precisely assess the chances of success of a new medicine, identify and prioritize indications that should be analyzed and take fast business decisions by counting clinical data, company’s traits and other factors.
With the new funding, Intelligencia will expand its R&D team in Athens, while at the same time will develop sales teams and customer success in the USA and in Europe. Also, it will work closer with customers and partners who pursue to integrate their data in the company’s tools. “Our objective is to make the difference when it comes to the incredibly dangerous business of medicine development and this round of funding will allow us to continue the expansion of our products, our data and our clientele.”, stated Vangelis Vergetis.
