Grofers, an Indian two-year-old startup that delivers groceries and other products from local stores to customers on demand, has raised $120 million in a series C funding round, which was led by SoftBank and had the participation of Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital and Apoletto Managers.
It must be noted that this was the third funding for Grofers during 2015. Users can order from over 120,000 products that include groceries, fruits, vegetables, cosmetics, electronics, bakery items, flowers etc. Grofers promises to deliver the order within 90 minutes, since it has over 10,000 small merchants on board in a series of cities, such as Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Jaipur etc.
