Rocket Internet: A big IPO and a big controversy

Rocket Internet is one of the most successful, but also controversial startup companies in the world.

Rocket is based in Germany, founded by three brothers in 2007. It has managed to create 70 companies in 50 countries, with a total revenue of 4 billion dollars every year.

Last week, Rocket started its assessment procedures in order to proceed with the largest IPO ever made in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (DAX), worth more than 6.5 billion dollars.

However, it is often accused of stealing ideas from other Internet companies. BusinessInsider writes about Amazon, eBay, PayPal, Facebook, Groupon or even Uber.
