An amount of 175 million dollars was raised from SherpaVentures, a venture fund run by Shervin Pishevar and Scott Stanford, in order to begin a new fund that will invest in startups that are at the Series A or B stage. This is the second fund from SherpaVentures, and at the same time Mr. Pishevar and Stanford have a $250 million fund called SherpaEverest that invests in growth stage startups. SherpaVentures has invested in the early stages of a number of startups, such as Shyp, Luxe, Stance and Munchery.
