Metzeler is the 2024 best tyre brand for Motorrad readers

The Metzeler brand is again confirmed as the most appreciated brand by the readers who participated in the annual survey promoted by German motorcycle magazine Motorrad which decreed Metzeler as the Best Brand 2024 in the tyre category.

During the official awards ceremony which took place in Stuttgart, Michael Müller, Director of Sales & Marketing DACH and Benelux, and Salvatore Pennisi, Director of Testing Department and Technical Relations represented Metzeler and received the award from Marcus Schardt, Director of Sales of Motorrad for Motor Presse Stuttgart.

This is not the first time that the Metzeler brand has won the coveted award. Following success in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, this year Metzeler, for the thirteenth time out of a total of nineteen editions held, is again confirmed as the reference motorcycle tyre brand on the market.

Readers of the prestigious German magazine were asked to indicate which brand of motorcycle tyres they preferred, leaving voters free to express one or more preferences: Metzeler obtained the victory with 62.3% of the preferences of the 49,707 voting readers.

The survey organised by Motorrad is eagerly awaited every year not only by motorcyclists but also by professionals who can receive an important indication of the real appreciation for their products by the consumers who put them to the test on the road every day.

The consistency with which the Metzeler brand has managed to win this prestigious award is a demonstration of the esteem the brand enjoys among motorcyclists. It is also confirmation of the excellent and continuous research and development carried out, translating into tyres that have been awarded as the best products in their respective categories.

In addition to the award as best tyre brand, clear proof of the exceptional quality and performance of the broad portfolio of Metzeler brand products, to which the new ROADTEC™ 02 has recently been added, are the victories in the comparative tests promoted by the most important motorcycle magazines, not least that obtained by the Metzeler SPORTEC™ M9 RR tyres in the supersport comparative organised by Motorrad and PS magazines.

SPORTEC™ M9 RR has demonstrated its excellent performance several times and, four years after its birth, has once again proven to be the reference among sports tyres with double success in the test published by Motorrad (issue 7-2024) and PS (issue 4-2024). In both comparisons, four tyre models were tested, mounted on a BMW S 1000R and, although the test criteria and their weight were different for the two magazines, the result did not change: SPORTEC™ M9 RR was declared the winner.
