The greater interest on the part of VCs and “business angels” is expected to give a big boost, as the needs of women increasingly come to the forefront.

This year it is also not excluded that a respectable number of FemTech companies will enter the stock market, which will help them immediately while significantly improving their image in the eyes of investors. In recent years, more and more new Startups have been developing and launching innovative and sophisticated digital tools against the backdrop of women’s needs, resulting in more investments from funds and organizations.

According to PitchBook data, the FemTech industry raised more than 1 billion dollars in 2021, for the first time in its history. One of the companies that stood out last year was Flo Health. The FemTech Startup has developed a women’s health app based on artificial intelligence. According to Crunchbase, the company has amassed a total of 75.5 million dollars, with an estimated valuation close to 800 million dollars.In total, Flo Health app downloads exceed 210 million while active users amount to 43.5 million monthly.

Although most of the most promising FemTech companies are Startups, they are still exciting prospects for investors. For example, Progyny, Invitae and Myriad Genetics are just some of the FemTech companies that are expected to stand out this year.

While the future is projected to be particularly auspicious for the global FemTech market, businesses in the space are still having to overcome significant challenges. For example, raising capital is one of the biggest challenges of businesses, but with more exits and unicorns, investors may begin to see the prospects of the industry in a different light.Other key challenges are the lack of research, education and social acceptance of women’s health issues as a priority.
