During a press conference held on Thursday, May 11 in Athens, Uni Systems’ Managing Director, Yiannis Loumakis, presented the company’s strategic plan, its priorities and future goals both in the Greek and the European markets.
With 59 years of consistent and continuous presence in the Information Technology industry, Uni Systems, member of Quest Group of Companies, with established subsidiaries in 5 countries and ongoing projects in more than 20 European countries, implements a strategic plan that reflects its growth potential and prospects in the context of the digital transition.
Mr. Theodore Fessas, Chairman of Quest Group, opened the meeting with a brief welcome. Following a presentation of the company’s 2022 financial results, and referring to the 176 million euros of revenue and 550 million euros in projects’ backlog , as well as the dynamics of the main sectors covering the company’s activities, thus the International, the Banking & Financial, the Publicand the Private markets sectors, Yiannis Loumakis presented the main pillars of the strategic plan that will guide the company to 2026. These include substantial investments in digital solutions across the horizontal areas of Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Managed Services and Customer Experience. In addition, he referred to the further expansion in the markets of the European Union and International organizations, in the financial sector of South East Europe and highlighted the focus
on projects included in the Greece 2.0 plan.
In the first year of the strategic plan’s implementation, the revenues of the Digital Pillars marked an increase of 18% (from 28 million euros in 2021, to 33 million euros in 2022), and a 5% increase in total revenue, led by the Cloud initiative, whose revenues exceeded the amount of 9 million euros.
Next, Yiannis Loumakis referred to the Research, Development and Innovation sector, responsible for the implementation of Greek and EU research projects, generating revenues of 2.4 million euros in 2022, with an annual increase of a percentage of 23%. It is important to point out that the Pleiades IoT Innovation Cluster, which was converted into a Non-Profit Company, was established through this initiative. This was the case for iQnovus, Quest Group’s Innovation Center, as well. Discussing the critical issue of the lack of talent in the field of Information Technology, Mr. Loumakis further highlighted its importance and set it as a high priority for Uni Systems that today occupies more than 1300 employees, while describing the company’s initiatives on employee attraction and retention.
Finally, he talked about the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Development, that Uni Systems implements within the framework of Quest Group’s overall strategy, whose 4 pillars and the achievement of its 10 goals qualify the company among the leaders in sustainable development in the IT sector.
The Chairman of Quest Group Mr. Theodore Fessas, the Vice Chairwoman Mrs. Eftychia Koutsoureli and the CEO of Quest Group Mr. Apostolos Georgantzis attended the meeting. Uni Systems’ Business Unit Directors were also present, covering issues about their areas of responsibility and operation.
