Greece was chosen by the international certification body TÜV NORD to create one of the four specialized medical device centers worldwide. According to a relevant announcement, the new center covers the particularly increased requirements of the European Union Medical Device Regulation (MDR) EU 2017/745, which concerns medical devices and has been in force since May 2021.
TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) on the occasion of the completion of the MDR (EU) 2017/745 evaluation and notification process of the Notified Organization TUV NORD Cert GmbH 0044, is planning a special information day in Athens, on the subject of the basic requirements of the Regulation, the Conformity Assessment Procedures and the current situation regarding the implementation of the Regulation.
It is noted that the center, TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) Medical, is staffed by qualified personnel with long-term experience in the field of evaluation of medical devices and related quality systems. In addition, the center’s executives participate in the international scientific and technical committees of TÜV NORD Group Medical Device International, ensuring the continuous renewal of knowledge, experience and education within the Group.
Apart from Greece, the other three corresponding centers of the Group are located in Germany, the United States and Poland.
