The Greek mission at the forefront
Greece is ready to leave its mark in an event where the eyes of fans of technology are gathered. The Greek mission, with more than 40 members, is ready to enhance the extroversion of the domestic ecosystem, captivating international and European interest.
This year’s Greek mission has as its central message “Innovation Unleashed” as it seeks opportunities for cooperation, through the communication and networking of the domestic innovation ecosystem, the participating businesses, with global companies and international bodies. Sponsors of the Greek delegation in this effort are the Region of Attica, Samsung, Uni Systems and egg – enter•grow•go of Eurobank.
The messages of the first day are more than positive. Despite the ongoing crisis of the pandemic, the presence of the people in the exhibition so far exceeds what is expected. The thousands of visitors who visited the Greek mission’s pavilion, which is located in the central corridor of Fira Gran Via, confirm the “thirst” of Greek businesses for contacts, exchanges of views and networking as well as for the return to the coveted normality. On the first day of this year’s MWC22, dozens of appointments were held, while both visitors and investors showed particular interest in Greek businesses, welcoming the rapid progress they have made in recent years under even adverse conditions. After a particularly difficult two years, the Greek tech companies as confirmed by their presence on the first day of the Mobile World Congress are more than willing to work hard. And this year’s event is without a doubt the best opportunity for that.
The Mobile World Congress is undoubtedly the most important technology event in the world, gathering visitors from all over the world. Indeed, as the first samples show, the countries friendly to the Greek ecosystem are not limited to those of Western Europe and the USA. At this year’s MWC22, the networking of Greek technology companies is expanding, through meetings and appointments with investors and entrepreneurs from technologically emerging regions such as the Middle East and Africa.
Overall, the first day of the emblematic technology event, finds the members that make up the Greek mission particularly optimistic, being ready to worthily represent in the coming days not only the domestic ecosystem and the technology industry but also the entire Greek entrepreneurship.
The President of the Hellenic Association of Innovative Applications Companies, George Markatatos, on the occasion of the Greek presence on the first day of the MWC, stated in startupper.gr the following: “The work of the first day of the conference feeds back my faith in the potential of the Greek ecosystem. In the coming days we will set out the next steps to continue the restart of technology business that begins here in Barcelona. It is necessary, however, for the ecosystem to receive support beyond SEKEE-HAMAC. In this effort, all the links, young and old, of innovation and technology, are needed without exception.
