The iBikeShare project organizes on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 17:00 – 20:00, a final evening entitled ” Safe cycling, innovative mobility and quality of life: Concentric and interconnected circles ” at the Allegro venue at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, – fully respecting the necessary protection measures.
In the evening, with a Christmas mood, the main actors of the city (representatives of the Local Government, the entrepreneurship of the public bicycle sector and the civil society) will discuss the co-shaping of a better cycling environment in the city of Thessaloniki.
The evening will include open discussions on the proper design of the city’s cycling infrastructure and the safe use of bicycles, as well as the search for appropriate messages to promote the bicycle to citizens. The views of all of you are welcome.
The event is open to the public. Due to the limitation of the number of participants in the framework of prevention measures to avoid transmission of COVID-19, it is necessary to confirm your participation until 20.12.2021.
iBikeShare, completing its actions, tries to bring the citizens of Thessaloniki “one click closer to the bicycle” and to contribute to the introduction of the bicycle in the transport map of the city.
The project is funded by the national action “Research – Create – Innovate” and its coordinator is the Institute for Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks of the National Center for Research and Technology (CERTH) , while the companies BRAINBOX and OTO that operate the system of public bicycles in the city of Thessaloniki also cooperate in this project.
