An impressive new round of funding that reached 526 million dollars from a wide range of global investors was raised from Spotify. After this, its value overcame $8,5 billion. Spotify is planning to invest in expansion and new forms of content as it faces a growing set of challengers that now includes Apple Music, a subscription-based streaming-music service and a 24-hour global Internet radio station. The company in total has raised 1 billion dollars in funding.
