Social media are ideally an easy and modern place to “be”, to be entertained, to exchange opinions. However, the data that there is a connection between social media and depression is unfortunately growing. How did Social Media come from technology that would facilitate the interconnection of all of us, to threaten our mental health?
On Friday, June 24 at 17:00 the SNF‘s Dialogues hold an open discussion with young people from every corner of the earth about Social Media and the psychological imprint they leave on their generation, “Generation Social.”The meeting of the Dialogues, which are curated by the non-profit journalistic organization iMEdD (incubator for Media Education and Development), takes place within the framework of the SNF Nostos on Health in the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).
The SNF Nostos Youth Advisory Committee, a group of young people who actively participated in the formulation of the SNF Nostos Conference program, participates in the discussion of the Dialogues.
The discussion will take place in English with parallel interpretation into Greek.
