The amount of £2 million pounds in seed funding was raised by Mrs. Wordsmith, the edtech startup that is in a quest in order to re-imagine and re-shape the dictionary. The funding process was led by Kindred Capital and Reach Capital, SaatchiNvest, and Ropart Asset Management participated.
Mrs. Wordsmith has created a subscription-based vocabulary programme that helps young people learn rich and unique words in a way that’s visual, and easier to grasp and retain.
Mrs. Wordsmith is planning to use the funding in order to continue the development and improvement of its popular subscription-based paper product, and to fully develop its intuitive dictionary, as well as the word engine that will understand the context and relevance when a user queries a word.
