Deutsche Bank introduces new mobile payment app

A new mobile payment app for Android devices has been introduced by Deutsche Bank.

The app combines near-field communication (NFC) and card emulation (HCE) technology for enabling contactless payments.

Michael Koch, head of digital factory and head of online/mobile banking at Deutsche Bank, says that D.B is the first bank in Germany with a “simple mobile payment” offering.

M. Koch stated in a LinkedIn post: “It’s not about talking. It’s not about a PowerPoint presentation. It’s not about click-dummies. It’s about delivering real solutions for our customers.”
