A greek-built solar station, where electric cars are charged, is located in the center of Athens, outside Divani Caravel hotel and a smart – digital bus stop, impressed the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis, who opened the 11th International Conference on Flexible, Printed Electronics.
The Minister was given a tour of the Innovative Products Exhibition, where the greek company Organic Electronic Technologies presented its applications in the field of energy, lighting and “smart” buildings.
The head of the company BLNanobiomed Dr. Varvara Karagkiozaki, the first doctor in Greece to deal with Nanomedicine, presented to the Minister the company’s new rapid test that can predict the possibility of a heart attack with a drop of blood.
It is worth noting that the company was one of the first in the world to create a mask of high protection against coronavirus with an integrated nanofilter that traps coronavirus, while it collaborated to create a rapid test of high sensitivity, which also records the amount of the body’s viral load.
As the President of HOPE-A, Professor Stergios Logothetidis, pointed out at the opening of the Conference, the first day of the Conference is dedicated to the electronics industry and its applications.
It is worth noting that in Greece and specifically in Thermi of Thessaloniki there are the facilities of the COPE (Centre of Organic and Printed Electronics) Nanotechnology Center, where electronics are produced, which among other things are used in electronic devices.
The head of the Office of the Deputy Minister of Development Christos Dimas, Michalis Dritsas, attended the conference with great interest, while the official of the Embassy of India, Smykannu Rajendran, was also guided to the exhibition.
The aim of the 11th International Conference and Exhibition , (11 and 12 October Athens), is to bring together key industrial players at international level, end users, entrepreneurs, investors, leading scientists, engineers, policy makers, politicians and representatives from national, European and international authorities to discuss, collaborate and create new businesses and to shape strategy and policy in the promising and rapidly evolving field of Green, Flexible and Printed Electronics, with a turnover of hundreds of billions of euros.
Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Awards
In order to enhance innovation within the framework of the 11th International Conference, startups and small and medium-sized companies that develop successful new products and solutions in the field of Flexible Printed Electronics are awarded.
At the same time, innovative actions in the field of research are exhibited and funded research projects of organizations, research institutes and academic laboratories in the field of FPE will be presented.
The 11th International Conference on the printing green electronics industry, which concludes its work on October 12 in the afternoon, is under the auspices of the Ministries of Development and Investments, Environment and Energy, Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Infrastructure and Transport, the Municipality of Athens and the Department of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
