ARX Robotics secures an additional €11 million in Series A extension

With the new funding, the company will accelerate the scaling of production for connected, tactical UGVs, expand manufacturing facilities, and establish strategic partnerships throughout Europe

ARX Robotics secures an additional €11 million in Series A extension, bringing the total Series A funding to €42 million. The new round was led by Speedinvest, with participation from HV Capital, which also led the initial €31 million Series A announced in April.

Based in Munich and founded by former officers of the German Armed Forces, ARX Robotics develops the modular Gereon UGV platform and Mithra OS, the first AI-powered operating system designed to upgrade legacy military vehicles. These solutions enable fully autonomous ground operations while enhancing the mission readiness of existing fleets, all within a fully European supply chain.

As European armed forces face increasing pressure to modernize due to shifting geopolitical conditions, ARX offers a flexible, open-architecture solution emphasizing software and hardware integration. The company’s products include the modular Gereon UGV—capable of carrying up to 500 kilograms and conducting autonomous missions up to 40 kilometers—and the Mithra OS, which leverages AI to provide connectivity and networking between vehicles.

ARX has established itself as a leading UGV provider in key European markets, with deployments in the armed forces of Germany, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. Its solutions are being used in surveillance, reconnaissance, logistics, and casualty evacuation missions.

With the new funding, the company will accelerate the scaling of production for connected, tactical UGVs, expand manufacturing facilities, and establish strategic partnerships throughout Europe. Special attention will be given to building expert teams by hiring specialists in artificial intelligence, software architecture, system integration, and engineers with experience from the European automotive industry.

Founder and CEO Marc Wietfeld emphasized the importance of speed and timely action in today’s geopolitical environment, while Speedinvest General Partner Andreas Schwarzenbrunner highlighted that ARX contributes to strengthening European defense technological sovereignty through innovative and scalable robotics technology based on European expertise.

Recently, ARX announced strategic partnerships with global leaders such as Daimler and Renk, aiming to advance digital transformation, industrial growth, and international expansion. These moves solidify ARX’s position at the forefront of the revolution in fully autonomous military vehicles in Europe.
