Appcelerator raises $22M to help speed mobile development

Appcelerator raised $22 million in Series D funding to win more customers for its business-focused mobile app development platform.

The Mountain View company led by CEOJeff Haynie said the round was led by new investor Rembrandt Venture Partners.

Appcelerator has now raised more than $90 million since it was founded in 2006.

The company’s platform is used by companies to quickly build, analyze and connect mobile apps.

Appcelerator said it has added more than 125 new customers in the past year, including Avis, Comerica Bank, Family Dollar and Sprint.
