The amount of 3 million dollars in a seed round was raised from Smarking, a startup that helps parking providers to make sure that their spaces are filled at all hours. The investment was led by Khosla Ventures and joined by Slow Ventures, Procyon Ventures, SVS Ventures, FinSight Ventures, Fairstead Capital, CheerLand Investment, Pre-Angel, DN Capital etc. Until today, parking garages or lots possess plenty of information about supply and demand, but at the same time there isn’t an easy way to read the data, make predictions or engage in dynamic pricing and promotions. Smarking’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach helps them to do that, since its technology taps into Web applications or APIs connected to systems that are already in use by parking providers.
