$24m Series C funding for Parkwhiz

Apparently finding a parking space is a global headache judging by the popularity of applications available to public.
American ParkWhiz, gathered $24 million in Series C funding, from investment funds Baird Capital, Beringea and Jump Capital. With these funds ParkWhiz will further develop its services and will acquire the corresponding New York service, BestParking.
ParkWhiz is the largest parking places finder service in America and operates in over 50 major cities, with 4.000 parking spaces and 800,000 open parking spaces. Through the application, the parking space owners announce available spots and interested drivers have direct access to them, in many cases at better prices, booking them from their Smartphones.
In Athens there is the startup Parkaround, through which there is access to information for each parking, available seats and prices and of course, direct booking offered at better prices.
